Hmmmm, this was sooo difficult
because each one of these songs pull
at me for different reasons…..but I
would have to say Bulletholes.

One reason is because I have lost
many loved ones in my short life span
and this song reminds me of each and
every one of them. And every time
I hear it I get teary eyed.

Second reason is the boys are brilliant
all in their own right. Whether it’s the
way they use their instruments or
the way they write their songs. The beginning of the song just goes
right thru me and this feeling just
comes over me and I start to
feel the tears start to well up before
Marty even begins to sing. And the
way Marty sings this song just pierces
right through me. He really knows how to drive this song with his soft voice on parts
of the song and then knows how to
build the song to drive it home!

FAN FAVORITE: BULLETHOLES

This song came into my life right after I had lost four people in one week. Two young children I knew well were murdered by their father who then committed suicide, five days later I lost one of my closest friends in a car accident; another close friend of mine was in the car with him. I was like a shell. I could not see how things were going to get better. It was a horrible loss for me. Within the next week I heard Bulletholes for the very first time and it touched me so deeply that I cried myself to sleep listening to it over and over again.

When I heard ". . . Why does he have the strength to devastate, And murder the beauty he creates," it just connected how I was supposed to hear that song and how I am supposed to be a part of this community, of this family that Marty, Dino, Billy, and Bobby have created.

I listened to it for the next few days and the more I heard it the better I felt; it really helped me get through such a hard time losing one of my best friends and so many people who were so close to me in one week. This song is not only a song for me it is a sign of how even though things can be horrid and terrible, it will be better. If I did not have the Lovehammers in my life I know that I would have had an even harder time with this loss. It is not every day that you are going to find a song that changes you and changes your life, and for that I want to thank the Lovehammers.
