FAN FAVORITE: SLEEPER

Sleeper's brilliance eluded me for a long time. I needed the driving force of songs like Real Man and This Town. Sleeper was something to listen to while I waited for Real Man to start again.

Then I sang along with it in the car one day...

Then the hammer smashed my little brain into pieces...

Then it was all so clear...

What do you do when you find yourself standing at the edge of what you know to be real? Do you leap off that edge knowing you've got wings or do you remain idle, wondering what lies on the other side? Is it destiny or just a crazy dream? Does it matter?

The fear of the unknown is overwhelming at times, but the weight of never having taken a chance on a dream will crush you...

So...what'll it be?

So many Lovehammers songs qualify as a favorite, but the power that I felt that first time when I sang those words and that melody in the car changed my life - it is the only song that demands I drop whatever I am busy with and just "be" with that song.

Sleeper is my favorite.
