Fan Review: Lovehammers Spread the Love at Summerfest

by elaine lambert

Had it really been five months since my last Lovehammers show? This show was different than any of the others I've been to, since I had the opportunity to shoot part of the show from the pit for the Lovehammers Fan Club.

The show started off with Bobby pounding on the drums to the beat of Ultrasound. It was hard not to get caught up in the music as this is one of my favorite songs, but I had a job to do.  Much of the beginning of the show was a complete blur as I rushed back & forth across the pit snapping pictures of the boys. They were in great form and the crowd was definitely showing them some love. All of the screams and cheers from the crowd and seeing all the fans singing along was mind
blowing. I can see how the guys must get a rush from performing.

I watched the second half of the show from the audience with my friends, singing along & having a blast. The group in front of us and behind us, who weren't fans before the show, were enjoying themselves, too. There were many newly converted Hammerheads leaving the venue that night.

I had forgotten how much fun the whole Lovehammers experience is. Spending the day with my friends enjoying a kick-ass show, who could ask for more? Five months is entirely too long between shows, so it's a good thing I'll be seeing them again in a few weeks.

Jenny and I want to thank Billy, Bobby, Dino and Marty for letting the Fan Club have access to shoot the show, and a special thanks to Dan for all of his help.
